Vice Mayor David Gunderson called to order the March 9, 2026, City Council Meeting in the Argyle Council Chambers at 7:00 PM. Members present were David Gunderson, Zachary Beaudry, Penni Anderson, and Aaron Rivard. Absent was Mark Larson. Also in attendance were Tamara Benitt and Michael Pagnac. Motion by Aaron Rivard, seconded by Penni Anderson, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried.
Motion by Aaron Rivard, seconded by Penni Anderson, to approve the Maintenance Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Penni Anderson, seconded by Zach Beaudry, to purchase 12 hanging baskets from Evergreen n’ Ivy. Motion by Penni Anderson, seconded by Zach Beaudry, to advertise for watering of the hanging baskets, flower planters and the Garden Club gardens for $1,500/season. Motion carried.
Motion by Aaron Rivard, seconded by Penni Anderson, to advertise for one summer helper for $16.00/hour with $.50/increase for returning employees. Motion carried.
Motion by Aaron Rivard, seconded by Penni Anderson, to advertise for Summer Rec Director/Head Coach at $20.00/hour, Assistant Coach at $17.00/hour, Bus Driver at $30.00/hour, and Umpire at $25.00/game with $.50/hour increase for returning employees. Motion carried.
Motion by Zach Beaudry, seconded by Aaron Rivard, to allow another off-sale liquor license within Argyle. Motion carried.
Motion by Aaron Rivard, seconded by Penni Anderson, to approve the Argyle Fire Department purchase of a 2026 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Premium in the amount of $22,728.95. Motion carried.
Motion by Aaron Rivard, seconded by Zach Beaudry, to approve Daniel Denny as a new fire fighter for the Argyle Fire Department. Motion carried.
The City received another Minnesota Department of Health Source Water Protection Competitive Grant in the amount of $15,000 for the installation of the secondary well project.
The City Office and City Shop will be closed on Good Friday, April 3rd.
Motion by Penni Anderson, second by Aaron Rivard, to approve the bills presented for payment the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, delinquent accounts and vacation & sick leave. Motion carried.

Argyle offers a yearly garbage pickup fee. $100.00 per 35 gallon garbage can. Stop by the city office to purchase your yearly sticker.
