FEBRUARY 2026

Mayor Mark Larson called to order the February 2, 2026, City Council Meeting in the Argyle Council Chambers at 7:00 PM. Members present were Mark Larson, David Gunderson, Zachary Beaudry, Penni Anderson and Aaron Rivard. Also in attendance were Mason Sundby, Tamara Benitt and Michael Pagnac.

Motion by David Gunderson, seconded by Aaron Rivard, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried.

Motion by Penni Anderson, seconded by Aaron Rivard, to approve the Maintenance Report. Motion carried.

Motion by Penni Anderson, seconded by Aaron Rivard, RESOLUTION 04-2026 – Benefits per Year of Service for the Argyle Fire Department was adopted. Motion carried.

Motion by Aaron Rivard, seconded by Zach Beaudry, to approve the following 2026 Argyle Fire Department Officers:

Chief – Eric Magnusson

Asst. Chief – Tim Tulibaski

Secretary – Nick Safranski

Treasurer – Brady Swanson

Ventilation Officer – Nathan Anderson

Interior Officer – Dillon Erickson

Training Officer – Ben Welin

Safety Officer – Tony Safranski

Chief Engineer – Erin Anderson

EMS Coordinator – Mason Sundby

Motion Carried.

Motion by Penni Anderson, seconded by David Gunderson, to approve Hunter Osmonsen as a new fire fighter for the Argyle Fire Department. Motion carried.

Brady, Martz Audit will be in office February 17th & 18th.

The City Office and City Shop will be closed Monday, February 16, 2026 – in Observance of Presidents Day.

Motion by Aaron Rivard, second by Zach Beaudry, to approve the bills presented for payment, the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, delinquent accounts and vacation & sick leave. Motion carried.

Motion by David Gunderson, seconded by Zach Beaudry, to include a service award program in the Personnel Policy to recognize full-time employees per 5-year employment increments. Motion carried.

Being no further business, motion by Zach Beaudry, second by Aaron Rivard, to adjourn. Motion carried.

Argyle offers a yearly garbage pickup fee. $100 per 35-gallon garbage can. Stop by the City Office to purchase your yearly sticker.

Stop by the City Office to purchase 2026 pet license and special vehicle permits (golf carts).

Waste Management recycling tote pickup will be on March 11, 2026.

City Office & City Shop Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM & Friday 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

REQUEST FOR WINTER MONTHS:

Please do not leave cars & trailers on streets for easier snow removal.

Please stay away from Snow Removal Equipment. Give them room to do their job!!

Please keep all gates open and free of snow so that meters can be read. Thank you for your cooperation!

A REMINDER FROM THE GAS DEPARTMENT:

Please keep snow cleared from your gas meter and vent. A dangerous condition exists should your gas meter and vent become blocked with snow. Please keep checking this until the snow melts.

Please help the Fire Department by keeping your fire hydrants cleared of snow.

RESIDENTS ARE REMINDED TO STOP BY CITY OFFICE TO PURCHASE A $15.00 BUILDING PERMIT FOR ANY REMODELING/BUILDING OVER $500.00. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP TO ENSURE ALL CODES AND SETBACKS ARE FOLLOWED.
