NOVEMBER 2025

Mayor Mark Larson called to order the November 3, 2025, City Council meeting in the Council Chambers at 7:00 PM. Members present were Mayor Mark Larson, Zach Beaudry, David Gunderson, and Penni Anderson. Absent was Aaron Rivard. Michael Pagnac and Tamara Benitt were also in attendance. Motion by David Gunderson, seconded by Penni Anderson, to approve the previous meeting minutes. Motion carried.

Motion by Zach Beaudry, seconded by Penni Anderson, to approve the Maintenance Report. Motion carried.

Motion by Penni Anderson, seconded by David Gunderson, to approve Davidson Construction’s Payment No. 4 in the amount of $349,681.70 for the Lincoln Avenue Project. Motion carried.

Council discussed the progress of the Herman Addition Infrastructure project.

On a motion by Zach Beaudry, seconded by David Gunderson, RESOLUTION 20-2025 – RESOLUTION ORDERING THE REPAIR OR REMOVAL OF HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS, was approved. Motion carried.

Building Permits: Philip Grandstrand – build sidewalk at Brian Doll. Motion by Penni Anderson, seconded by David Gunderson, to approve the building permits. Motion carried.

Motion by Zach Beaudry, second by David Gunderson, to approve the installation of stop signs and make the corner of 2nd Street and Lincoln Avenue a 4-way stop. Motion carried.

An insurance check was received for the light pole repair by United Valley Bank.

The conditions of streets will be inspected. The Council decided to keep installing Class 5 on streets and alleyways.

The selling of City lots was discussed.

The City Office and City Shop will be closed on Veterans’ Day, Tuesday, November 11th, and Thanksgiving Day,  Thursday, November 27th. Motion by Zach Beaudry, seconded by Penni Anderson, to approve the Friday after Thanksgiving as a Holiday for all employees. Motion carried.

Motion by David Gunderson, second by Penni Anderson, to approve the bills presented for payment, delinquent accounts and vacation & sick leave. Motion carried.

The City will advertise for a full-time Maintenance Worker with the range of $24.00-$30.00/hour within the Messenger and Sheaf. The wage will depend on experience.

Motion by Zach Beaudry, seconded by Penni Anderson, to approve a cost of living and performance based pay raise for all employees. Motion carried.

Being no further business, motion by Penni Anderson, second by David Gunderson, to adjourn. Motion carried.

REMINDER: WASTE MANAGEMENT RECYCLING TOTE PICKUP WILL BE ON DECEMBER 10TH.

CITY OFFICE AND CITY SHOP HOURS: MONDAY – THURSDAY 7:00 AM TO 4:30 PM.  FRIDAY – 7:00 AM TO 11:00 AM.

UTILITY PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE WITH A CREDIT CARD OR STOP BY THE CITY OFFICE TO SIGN UP FOR ACH (AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWAL)

Next Area Food Shelf will be December 9th – 4:30 to 5:30 PM.

A.R.E.D.A. – next meeting will be December 17th in the City Office at 7:00 AM.
