  • Students will strive to reach their full potential of academic and social excellence.

  • Parents will be responsible to set high expectations and provide structure and guidance to maximize student potential.

  • Parents will be accountable for involvement and communication in their child's educational and social growth.

  • Staff will strive to meet individualizing instruction.

  • Staff will provide a challenging and stimulating curriculum that sets high expectations for all students.

  • Community support is vital to students and school success.

  • Community and school partnerships are priority relations.

This mission and vision creates the foundation for educational experience that prepares our elementary students for secondary challenges.  Students will experience small class sizes that create opportunities for individual growth.  The elementary currently houses 180 students in grades K-6.  SAC features a professional staff that is dedicated to professional growth, the development of a 21st century curriculum, and development of the whole child.

Have you heard how the education experience for the young children is so much better today than it was 30 or 40 years ago?  Well, in Argyle they have the best.

The preschool program in Argyle is housed in a recently remodeled section of the Argyle school building in the northwest sector of the school site.  This facility is state-of-the-art, with a playful, pleasant learning area decorated with a variety of bright, stimulating colors.

One School Readiness teacher and aides keep the children in an orderly, secure environment with a big emphasis on nurturing.  There is a lot of attention given to detail such as providing for special needs children and the placement of child-sized accommodations such as sinks and toilets.

Stephen/Argyle Central Education
Foundation Established

The Stephen/Argyle Central Education Foundation is being established to provide opportunities for our graduates in education, businesses, and industry.  The SAC Education Foundation believes that a solid partnership among current students, past graduates, community members, local businesses, and other members of the Stephen/Argyle Central School family is vital to providing a high quality educational experience that prepares our graduates for life.  The goals of the Stephen/Argyle Education Foundation are:

  • To help sponsor the educational opportunities for SAC graduates and current students

  • To develop a network of communication between past Argyle, Stephen, and Stephen/Argyle Central graduates

  • To aid the SAC graduates' post-secondary transition

  • To provide our students with opportunities in business and industry

One of the challenges of our newly formed SAC Education Foundation is getting contact information from our past graduates.  The Argyle High School and Stephen High School graduates are an important component to current success of Stephen/Argyle Central.  We feel it is important to establish an avenue of communication for past and current graduates.  To sign up, first go to our school website,, then select the SAC Education Foundation tab on the left side of the webpage.  There will be directions that will walk you through adding your name, and the names of other interested parties, to our directory list.  The second thing you can do to help us build the SAC Education Foundation directory is to share this information with any and all interest people.  The Foundation is not just open to AHS, SHS, or SAC alumni.  Anyone that is passionate about education and improving the opportunities for the youth of our communities is more than welcome to become a member.

There is no cost or fee to become a member of the Stephen/Argyle Central Education Foundation.  Please take the time to register on the school website of call Stephen/Argyle Central 218-478-3314 and become an active member of our foundation.
